Director of Earned Media
Job Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for building, scaling, and energizing the RYZE brand across earned, organic, and media-driven channels. Equal parts strategist and executor, you’ll lead bold brand storytelling, strategic communications, and integrated campaigns that cut through the noise. You’ll own organic social, PR, and brand partnerships—turning product launches and cultural moments into meaningful engagement and brand impact. This is a high-visibility, high-output leadership role for someone excited to shape a brand that people talk about.
Key Responsibilities
Earned Media & Communications
Lead strategy and execution across all organic social channels, including voice, tone, and content roadmap
Oversee internal and external content teams to deliver best-in-class, platform-native creative
Own PR strategy in partnership with external agency; develop messaging frameworks, editorial calendars, and press kits
Manage media outreach for product launches, partnerships, and brand storytelling
Track and report on coverage, share of voice, and earned media value
Media Planning & Organic Campaign Strategy
Co-own organic and paid media planning and campaign alignment in partnership with media agency
Ensure content strategy and creative ladder up to performance and positioning goals
Identify media and content opportunities that extend the brand through new platforms and audiences
Collaborate with the performance and content teams to bridge brand storytelling and conversion
Licensing & Brand Collaborations
Identify and lead culturally aligned brand collabs and partnerships from pitch to execution
Find partners that elevate credibility, reach, or creative expression
Align cross-functional teams (creative, ops, product) on timelines, deliverables, and GTM strategy
Qualifications
7+ years of progressive experience in PR, brand communications, or social-led marketing roles
Proven success building culturally relevant brands and executing integrated media strategies
Strong portfolio showcasing work across organic social, PR, and brand partnerships
Experience leading agency relationships and managing cross-functional marketing campaigns
Deep understanding of internet culture, earned media dynamics, and how storytelling travels
Exceptional communicator and creative thinker with sharp instincts and executional rigor
