About the Role

RYZE is seeking a results-driven and strategic Marketplace Channel Lead to oversee sales execution and expansion efforts across third-party marketplaces and retail accounts. As we transition from DTC into retail, this role will be critical in leading marketplace and retail sales strategy, channel planning, and customer acquisition.

You’ll be responsible for owning revenue targets, managing retail partnerships, and optimizing sales performance across Amazon, Walmart.com, and other marketplaces, with future growth into retail distribution. This role requires a blend of e-commerce experience, sales acumen, and cross-functional collaboration to scale our omnichannel presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own sales strategy and performance across marketplace platforms, including Amazon, Walmart.com, and emerging wholesale accounts
  • Manage end-to-end marketplace and retail sales operations, from assortment planning to pricing strategy and promotional execution
  • Lead negotiations and relationship management with retail buyers, brokers, and marketplace partners
  • Coordinate new product launches and retail onboarding, ensuring timelines and sell-through goals are met
  • Collaborate with Brand, Ops, and Growth teams to align messaging, inventory planning, and demand forecasting
  • Monitor channel KPIs and provide weekly performance reporting, including sell-through, revenue, margins, and trade investment ROI
  • Drive wholesale expansion strategy, including identification and outreach to new retail accounts
  • Partner with finance and ops to track profitability and manage trade spend across channels
  • Stay informed of category trends and marketplace policy changes to remain competitive

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field is required.

  • 5–8+ years of experience in marketplace management, sales, or retail account management within CPG or DTC brands
  • Strong experience in Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central with proven revenue growth results
  • Understanding of retail buyer expectations and wholesale distribution processes
  • Strong analytical skills with a comfort level working in Excel and BI dashboards to analyze sales and profitability
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and trade spend budgets
  • Background in launching DTC brands into retail is a major plus
