About the Role

At RYZE, we’re scaling fast, and that means legal support needs to grow up fast, too. We’re hiring our first Manager of Legal Operations to bring order, visibility, and momentum to our legal workflows. This is not a legal counsel role, it’s an operational one. You’ll serve as the connective tissue between internal stakeholders, external legal partners, and our broader business needs.

You’ll report directly to our VP of People Ops & Strategy and work closely with Finance, Brand, Product, and Founders. You’ll build the foundation of how legal support gets done at RYZE: smarter systems, tighter communication, and faster, cleaner outcomes.


What You’ll Own

Workflow Architecture

  • Create and lead a centralized legal request intake process, complete with triage and prioritization logic
     
  • Develop dashboards or trackers that help us see where legal work stands at any point in time
     

Contracts & Documentation

  • Implement a system to manage all contracts, NDAs, MSAs, vendor agreements, influencer deals, IP docs
     
  • Maintain and refine templates, version tracking, and renewal reminders
     
  • Ensure all key agreements are fully executed, properly stored, and accessible
     

Outside Counsel Management

  • Be the single point of contact for external legal teams
     
  • Coordinate timelines, track scope of work, and manage legal invoices against budget
     

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with People, Finance, Brand, Product, and Ops to proactively identify legal needs before they become issues
     
  • Help define approval workflows and escalation paths across different legal areas
     

Compliance & Risk Ops

  • Track and support corporate compliance filings, policy updates, and IP renewals
     
  • Work closely with the People team on employment-related legal documentation
     

Legal Tech & Tools

  • Evaluate and implement legal tech platforms (e.g., Ironclad, SpotDraft, Notion boards, etc.)
     
  • Build lightweight systems that scale with us, not slow us down
     


What You Bring

  • 4–6 years in legal operations, contracts, compliance coordination, or legal project management
     
  • Startup or growth-stage company experience preferred—especially if you’ve been the “first” legal ops hire
     
  • Deep appreciation for organization, process, and clarity (but not at the expense of speed)
     
  • Strong project management skills—this role is as much about execution as it is about coordination
     
  • You’re systems-minded, outcome-oriented, and comfortable wearing multiple hats
     
  • Bonus points for experience with CLM platforms, corporate governance tools, or vendor onboarding processes
