In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating marketing copy, scripts, and public-facing content to ensure it meets all regulatory, legal, and brand compliance standards. You won’t be writing the content-but you’ll serve as the final checkpoint to make sure all messaging is accurate, responsible, and compliant. Your expertise will help protect the brand from risk while ensuring content is clear, ethical, and in line with applicable guidelines.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

Review all copy and scripts prior to publication to identify potential compliance risks or regulatory red flags.
Evaluate marketing claims for accuracy, substantiation, and alignment with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate closely with legal, marketing, and creative teams to guide revisions and ensure final assets are compliant.
Maintain an internal checklist and approve workflow for content sign-offs.
Stay updated on evolving compliance regulations (e.g., FTC, FDA, HIPAA, or other relevant industry-specific standards).
Flag high-risk content or language and recommend complaint alternatives without compromising brand tone.
Support training and education efforts to upskill marketing and creative team members on compliance best practices.

Education and Experience:

3+ years of experience in copy or script review within a regulated industry (health & wellness, finance, insurance, etc.)
Experience working in compliance review or content auditing is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with claim substantiation and legal disclaimer requirements is a plus.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong understanding of legal and regulatory compliance related to advertising and marketing.
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying subtle copy risks or misleading phrasing.
Ability to communicate feedback clearly and constructively to non-legal teams.
Organized and methodical with the ability to manage review cycles efficiently.
Comfortable working cross-functionally and making judgement calls under tight deadlines.
